ISMRM 2012: Nanoprobes and UTE imaging to evaluate lung metastatic tumors
As Dr D. Kokuryo noted when presenting data at the ISMRM, “It is very difficult to get a good signal using MRI in the lung area.” A possible approach to improve imaging quality when evaluating lung tumours and other pulmonary diseases, which is being investigated by researchers in Chiba, Japan, is the combination of ultra-short echo-time (UTE) imaging and nanoprobes.
