As a result, it is imperative to rely on modular shelves and furniture that is readily rearranged as well as to attempt to leave as much room as possible for specific imaging devices. Their replacements may not only be larger but hybrid machines, transducers on arms, or other design changes may require a larger footprint. Whether the imaging suite will be included in the reconfiguration of an existing space or part of a new construction, the details must be overseen by the radiologists and those who will use the facility to ensure that it is user-friendly.
