About Dr. Eric Silfen
Dr. Eric Silfen is the Chief Medical Officer of Philips Healthcare.
Dr. Silfen is a renowned expert on the implementation of information technologies in medical settings and has an extensive background in hospital and health plan clinical affairs, disease and care management programs, and clinical quality and performance improvement. While at Philips, he has worked on global multi-disciplinary research teams in the areas of molecular medicine, computer-aided imaging, clinical systems and diagnostic evaluations.
He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, and is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He also holds a masters degree in health administration from Medical College of Virginia, and a master degree in biomedical informatics from Columbia University in New York.
Dr. Silfen is a member of the Society for Critical Care Medicine, the Society for Medical Decision Making, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the American College of Medical Quality and The New York Academy of Sciences.
